Happy Birthday, Baby Jesus!

Our class had such a fun week getting ready for Christmas and learning around the theme of "Happy Birthday, Baby Jesus!" Our letter of the week was "J" for Jesus. They loved working on their "J" picture. First, we traced the letter with our fingers as we sang our usual letter song, "J says (J sound)... every letter makes a sound, J says (J sound)... for JESUS!"
Then we glued a picture of baby Jesus to our J.
...and made our J into a candy cane, like our "Jesus Poem".
Decorating Christmas wrapping paper!
We had hoped to wrap your gift in their special paper, but unfortunately we ran out of time. *CUTE AS BUTTONS* I'm sure you agree!
The kids had fun practicing their cutting skills while cutting wrapping paper.
Amalie was having a great time at the sensory table. They just love the "fun dough", especially when it is floating in water!
Sweet Mallory loves to read.
Having your foot painted tickles a little! :)
I thought these turned out adorable! (footprint holding baby Jesus)
Some of the girls were having a "picnic" :) It's so cute to see them pretend play together.
painting pictures of baby Jesus!
Hadley brought in "The Gingerbread GIRL" for all of us to read!! They were so excited. They were anxious to see if the Gingerbread girl was eaten by the fox the same way the Gingerbread man was!! :) Thank you, Hadley :)
Big girl Eden turned 3 on Friday!! She was so excited to share her pink cupcakes with the class. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EDEN! Thank you for the special treat!
At our little Christmas celebration, we decorated Christmas trees with green icing and sugar cones!
...and lots of sprinkles!!
Our Christmas tree projects turned out so cute.
Are these the sweetest little reindeer you've ever seen or what?? They are saved for the end of the year portfolios, but I had to give you a glimpse! They are too cute!

Christmas Trees and Lights!

fun with stickers and christmas trees :)
I hope you love the sweet little ornament from your kiddos. The kids were so excited that they smell like cinnamon, and they loved painting them for you!
Mrs. Beth and Mallory working on our special Christmas tree project!
We had a great time decorating the "Earth and Fire" pottery ornaments. It was so nice to see so many of you! The kids love when we have special guests!
Here the kids are working on color recognition and sorting. They matched bears to the correct color of Christmas tree lights. They really enjoyed it. :)
Fun with dotter markers and play dough :)
The kids' favorite book this week was Froggy's Favorite Christmas.
This activity with pompoms and glue was great for their fine motor skills! They loved making "ornaments" for the Christmas tree.
Christmas lights with fingerprints!
Happy Birthday to Evan!! (so sweet... I didn't see that he was pointing to himself until seeing these pictures. :)
