PRESIDENTS!

Such a fun "Presidents" week!

so proud of our class flag ;)

In circle time, we learned about George Washington and how he cut down the cherry tree as a little boy.  We decided he was a great leader because he told the truth! Then we made four cherries on our tree (to review our number of the week, 4).

They loved playing "Who cut down the cherry tree?" in circle time.

cuties :)

We also made our own cute handprint trees with four cherries on them. :)

working our fine motor muscles while tearing paper and then sorting it

Mrs. Paula did a fun little circle time during Lunch Bunch and had this group cracking up. :)

While working on Abe Lincoln crafts, we also practiced writing our names!

VALENTINE'S DAY

We had such a fun Valentine week at L.A.P.!

The kiddos loved our valentine sensory bin.

Since we had snow days during community helpers week, we had special police officer visitors this week!  A few of the kids decided they wanted to see the police cars and even get inside them!

sorting valentine hearts...

Our class had such cute answers to these!  All of them made me smile. :)
Here are a few more...

Our class loved our circle time songs this week.  This one, "Five Little Hearts" was their favorite.  One child acted out "Cupid", and five kids acted out the hearts.

"Five little hearts sitting in the tree,
telling Mr. Cupid 'You can't catch me'...
along came Mr. Cupid quiet as can be, and
shot a heart right out of that tree!...

now four little hearts...."

so fun :)

special gifts made in Lunch Bunch :)

Here they are working hard on valentine holders for our Valentine party!

Hope you enjoyed this little peek of your chid's week at preschool!  See you next week as we celebrate "President's Day".
