PUMPKINS!

What an awesome week we had at preschool!
Our Pumpkin theme made learning so much fun.

Thank you for all the pumpkins that were donated!
Here we are in circle time deciding together the largest to smallest.

We focused on the color orange this week.  The class loves our "Orange" song about Jack-o-lanterns, carrots, and oranges.

Look what special visitors came to LAP on Thursday!!  This was a great learning experience for the class following up from our "Fire Safety" week.

They got to see what the fireman's suit looks like and even got to feel it.

They learned how firemen are not scary but kind people who are there to help.

The fireman encouraged the children to remember firemen are safe people... if they are ever in a fire, when a fireman yells for them, they need to always answer and yell, "Here I am!"  They practiced this together.  The fireman also reminded the children to call 9-1-1 if there is ever an emergency.

Here we go to look inside a REAL firetruck.

After this fun time, we got back to our pumpkin theme....

What fun pumpkin snacks this sweet boy brought in this week!

Together we counted 6 pumpkins.  We then worked on gluing skills by gluing them to our papers.  Most of them did it all by themselves and were so proud. :)

The room was filled with a yummy fall time smell after we played in the "pumpkin foam"!  The class crowded around the sensory table and watched as I put shaving cream in it.  Then we put drops of red and orange food coloring in and shook lots of pumpkin pie spice on top.  The children rolled up their sleeves and got to put their hands all in it and mix it up.  So fun!

The birthday boy brought in cupcakes for all his friends!  Thank you buddy!  We loved them!

While talking about the pumpkin gospel story, a pumpkin was passed around circle time.  Most of the kids chose to stick their hand in to feel the slimy inside.  Some just wanted to pass. :)

P is for Pumpkin!

Hope you enjoyed this little glimpse of your child's preschool week!
Looking so forward to this coming week and "More Fall Fun".
