We had a such fun time learning around our Pet theme this week!
Our letter of the week was P for Pets!
During circle time, the class enjoyed fun pet books, songs, and a cute little game. Together we read and sang, "Dog bone, dog bone, where have you gone?? Someone took it from my home!... Can you guess who???"
All the kiddos closed their eyes (of course a couple were peaking;)
while I hid the bone by one of them....
They opened their eyes and had to guess who!!!
Sweet little handprints make adorable cats! We made this
sweet craft in class and in Lunch Bunch.
The class had such a good time in the sensory center this week searching
for dog bones in the cedar chips.
They ran to show us when they found one! so proud :)
This little guy is making "dog food" with play-dough and
putting it in the doggy dish. (great fine motor strengthening with these
fun play-dough mats!)
playing in the "vet clinic"
This sweet boy is "re-reading" one of our circle time books,
"Go Dog Go!" by Dr. Seuss :)
Busy little boys!
so much fun outside in the beautiful weather this week!
Look how this sweet class is learning to line up like big boys and girls.
fun in the "green room" (Minds in Motion room!)
Some of the children were so excited to show
off their pet pictures to their friends!
During one of our small group craft times, we looked at four dog bones and decided which one was the largest and which was the smallest.
Then we put them in order from smallest to largest and painted with them!
We reviewed our colors while we did this and counted to four together!!
We also did a fun activity painting a fish bowl! Then we used our handprints to make cute little goldfish. I will be saving these for the end of the year portfolios. :)
