Our color of the week - YELLOW!
singing our "Yellow Song" in circle time :)
After reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, we read our very own class book like it,
Kinder-Prep, Kinder-Prep, What Do You See?
Many of our kiddos were so proud they could read it too!!
(by looking at the pictures and knowing the repetitive text. :)
Look at all the hard work we did at our teacher centers.
"E is for Elephant and Eggs!"
Our class gets so excited to add to their alphabet books. I'm sure your little one has been proud to read the pages of his/her alphabet book with you at home!
Below we are working like big kids in the Independent Center...
Together in class, we read four Eric Carle books:
The Little Seed, The Grouchy Ladybug, Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Then each child chose his/her favorite, and we made a class graph!
(names have been photoshopped for blog)
...and we finished our August Weather Graph! Looking at the graph, we saw that we had mostly sunny days at school this month (five), three cloudy days, and one rainy day.
The class is continuing to work so well at tabletop centers in the morning!
Look at these hard workers and all the ways they are strengthening their fine motor muscles!
Here we are having fun playing in the back of the room.. we love making towers and having a puppet shows. :)
The kids love being big helpers and having jobs... look at those big door holders.
They are also loving our "Student of the Day" and sharing time for that person each day. It is sweet to see how proud these students are to show a little about themselves on their special day. We still have lots of little guys who will get a turn. :)
Here is a little sneak peak at one of the gifts we have up our sleeves for Grandparents' Day. :)
... And here is the cutest caterpillar I've ever seen. :) So many sweet smiles!
Enjoy your week!!! Looking forward to seeing everyone Monday!
