GRANDPARENTS' Day and Apple Week !

We had such a fun time celebrating our grandparents!

We had four stations, and we rotated in groups with our grandparents.

At one station we made a family tree with our handprints!

At another we made "Grandparent Trail Mix"

Animal Crackers    because you love me even when I'm "wild".
Marshmallows        because you're my big softy.
Raisins                    because you help raise me.
Chocolate Chips     because I'm a "chip off the old block".

At another center we showed our grandparents all around our classroom and our favorite places to play.

... and at the last center we decorated our special picture frame and pictures as gifts to our grandparents. :)

SO SWEET!
Unfortunately we took these pictures last week when a couple friends were on vacation.  We made sure to have a different sweet picture to give their grandparents. :)

...And here is a glimpse of the rest of our week at school.  We have such sweet kids and hard workers!!

Our sensory bin was full of little "apples" and even smelled delicious like apples!!

After reading the book, Ten Apples Up on Top, we made this adorable craft. (working on our number of the week, 3)

What a great visit from the "Butterfly Lady"!

such big listeners :)

We got to see a caterpillar egg....

... a cocoon ...

and then the butterflies!  We even got to see the butterflies fly away!

Look how much fun we have outside!!! :)

Our little helpers during our "GREEN SONG".

H is for this little guy! :)
... and hats, hot dogs, and hamburgers
