We had a fantastic first week of kinder-prep! The kiddos had a fun time playing and exploring the classroom.
...and getting to know new friends. :)
Each day, we rotate in groups between centers. Here is "Mrs. Tamara's center" where the children will do an activity with her daily.
Here at my center, each child will be working one on one and/or in small groups with me every day. We will work on kinder-prep skills and will review the new concepts that are taught during our "family meeting" (circle time) that morning. Each week we will focus on a different letter, number, color, and/or sight word. This info. will always be sent home in the weekly newsletter. :)
We have been SO impressed with these awesome listeners!! After tabletop centers in the morning, these guys are waiting patiently with a book for our family meeting to begin.
FUN playing "Alphabet Bingo"
Each morning after your children put their folders in the yellow bucket and hang up their bags, they will start to sign in daily on this white board. This is just a great way to practice writing their names! Many will still need some help, so Mrs. Tomara or I will write the name first for them, and they can trace over it until they soon will be able to do it all by themselves! ;)
