FRIENDS & FAMILY

Thank you for visiting our class blog!
Enjoy this peek at your child's week with us. :)

Mrs. Tomara and I were so proud of these brave kiddos for getting up in front of the class and sharing their "All About Me" papers and about their families.  It was fun to learn more about our friends!!

Look at these big listeners. :)

The class loves to watch our silly letter songs during our "family meeting".  This week, for the letter L, we sang about the Long Legged Lion who Loves Lollipops. ;)

Our class LOVED the Minds in Motion room this week!  They did a wonderful job learning how to rotate stations after each little song ends.

We started our classroom jobs this week!  Here my "song helper" is pointing to the day of the week we are singing about during our "Days of the Week" song.

At the Independent Center, students worked on their cutting skills.

Can you tell RED is our color of the week?? :)
During this family meeting, we talked about our names and what letters/sounds they begin with... we then looked around the circle together to see if any friends' names begin with the same sound!

our "calendar helper"!

We had fun seeing all the L Show & Tell items brought from home!

We started our "Alphabet Books" this week and added our "L" page.  Each week we will work on our cutting and gluing skills all while reviewing our letter of the week and it's sound.  This week we cut out Lions and Lollipops and glued them to the L!

After gluing the pictures each week, the students will also practice writing the uppercase letter and lowercase several times.  This book will be sent home each week for your child to "read" to you!

L is for Lion. ;)
